November 19, 2009 – Ag Zoning Meeting – 6:30 PM – Haiku Community Center
Next Thursday (Nov. 19th; 6:30pm) the Maui Realtor’s association representative will speak to the Haiku Community Association to build support for a legislative bill that will help reclassify current AG lands in many parts of Maui and statewide to “RURAL” . What this means is that lands will be “redefined’ …..
The Realtor Assoc. is alleging that people can’t get financing for building a house if their land is classified as AG and other arguments. Are these true conditions? Come hear for yourselves what is being said, and more importantly, speak up for the traditional AG lands of Maui.
The Realtor’s Assoc representative in the past has suggested that places like Waihee, waiehu, Haiku, Huelo, Ke’anae, etc should all be viewed as “rural” not Ag land use. ….
The realtors have gotten Senator Yee to introduce the legislation. Will this help those who want to live and farm their lands?
Please come and share your mana’o if you can.
